My dad had a 68 Fairlane equivalent to this. White on white sedan, 289, 3 on the tree, no options but the V8 and an AM radio (still worked!) - manual steering and brakes. Bought it in the 90s for some crazy cheap price under a grand. It had around 60K miles and was in good west coast condition, garaged, no damage. He liked it a lot, even commuted in it for a time, but eventually it became 1 car too many.

This one appears to have the blanking plate for the radio, and I suspect manual steering and brakes too. Price may be a little optimistic, but not many left if you want a car that was big and cheap.

pretty sure this a Fairlane, i had the coupe version of this car and even though it was a little more deluxe it was still a Fairlane. not 100% sure but all the bodies with this roof line were so named. to get a Torino meant you got the more fastback roof line.

i’m just going by what the ad says, you may be correct, i’m not too familiar with most US cars.
